Srinagar, January 04 (KNO) : While expressing outrage on mob attack on Kashmiri shopkeepers in Rohru Tehsil of Shimla, CPI (M) State Secretary Ghulam Nabi Malik on Friday said that miscreants, armed with hammers, sticks and iron rods have reportedly broken the shutters of the shops and looted and ransacked the goods. “The ransacking of Kashmiri shopkeepers at the behest of communal forces is unacceptable and must be condemned in strongest words and such incidents have serious implications,” Malik said as per a statement issued to KNO. He said that a hate campaign has been unleashed on Kashmiri traders outside the state and it has patronage of communal forces. “The already prevailing uncertain situation in Kashmir gets compounded by such incidents,” he added, saying that thousands of Kashmiri traders are outside state and this atmosphere of hatred against them has the potential to ruin their business. “J&K Governor must take up the issue of harassment of Kashmiri traders with the concerned state government at the earliest and ensure safe and secure environment for Kashmiri businessmen, labourers, students and others working there, ‘ he said and demanded that the guilty should be booked under law.(KNO)
